Its all a matter of degrees at this point. If the Fed is gutted, that removes ANY attempt at arresting inflation, but also removes the constraint on capital that has led to price inflation... but by allowing money to be printed at a higher rate than is advised that leads to another flavor of inflation.
None of the standard economic tools will solve this problem, and Trump and the Republicans are incapable of accepting that.
While this large crisis is still taking shape, a much bigger one may be ahead if the Federal Reserve is gutted.
